6 best TV shows streaming May 31 - June 6 on Netflix, Apple TV Plus, Peacock and more streaming services
Our expert picks the best TV shows streaming this week

In the land of streaming TV shows it's a Netflix-heavy offering this week; it's a slow season and most streaming services are taking a breather but the world's biggest one charges on.
I'm What to Watch's streaming editor and every week I create a curated list of the top shows coming to the best streaming services. This week, I'm looking at series debuting between Saturday, May 42 and Friday, June 6.
Netflix retains its usual huge release schedule but most other streaming services don't have anything. However to placate you not-Netflix subscribers I've hunted far and wide to find what actually is coming to other streamers so Apple TV Plus, Max and Peacock do find their way onto this list.
So let's find you something new to watch on streaming services this week...
The Mortician — Max
- Max true crime docuseries releases on Monday, May 26
A dark start to the week with The Mortician, a three-part true crime docuseries. One episode will be uploaded to Max each week from Sunday, June 1, the same day as they air on HBO.
The Mortician takes a look at a California business called the Lamb Funeral Home and its leader, David Sconce. Sconce was convicted for multiple crimes all stemming from his bizarre business decisions, like hiring hitmen to attack rivals and organizing mass cremations, betraying the trust of people who expected him to care for their deceased loved ones.
Love Island USA season 7 — Peacock
- Peacock reality romance show returns from Tuesday, June 3
Does it feel like it's been a year since the last season? Not to me, but Love Island USA season 7 is back. Episodes air on Peacock most days of the week from Tuesday, June 3 (no international air date just yet).

You probably know the drill at this point. Love Island sees a cast of single people sent to a tropical villa to find love, as many times as it takes. They'll embark on challenges and deal with political maneuvering to stay in the villa for as long as possible. Ariana Madix returns for her sophomore season hosting.
Power Moves with Shaquille O'Neal — Netflix
- Netflix sports/business docuseries lands on Wednesday, June 4
Basketball legend turned successful businessman Shaquille O'Neal gets his own docuseries in Power Moves which lands on Netflix on Wednesday, June 4.
Power Moves follows O'Neal as he attempts to revitalize Reebok Basketball, after becoming the President of this business subdivision. He uses his business savvy and sports knowledge to let the game influence the brand, and the brand benefit the game.
Stick — Apple TV Plus
- Apple TV Plus sports comedy premieres on Wednesday, June 4
Here's some more sports for you: Stick debuts on Apple TV Plus this week with three episodes, followed by new ones weekly.
Starring Owen Wilson, Stick is a golf comedy about a former pro who becomes a coach in order to reclaim past glories and get over his recent divorce and firing. He picks a new protégé who he believes he can take to the top, and the journey there will be filled with cameos from real golfers.
Tires season 2 — Netflix
- Netflix workplace comedy returns on Thursday, June 5
If Netflix seemed reticent to air the first season of Tires, a workplace comedy created (and funded) by divisive comedian Shane Gillis, that first run's success seemingly calmed any issues. Season 2 debuts on Thursday, June 5.
Tires is about the boisterous staff of an auto repair shop, lead by a perpetually-nervous owner and struggling to weather an economic downturn. This season season seems to feature plenty of celebrity cameos including Vince Vaughn, Thomas Haden Church and Jon Lovitz.
The Survivors — Netflix
- Netflix Aussie thriller lands on Friday, June 6
Another offering from Netflix this week: the Australian thriller The Survivors which is set on Tasmania. If the plot synopsis sounds familiar, it's because Netflix has shows like this every other week.
The story is about a man who left his town as a kid after it was rocked by tragedy; 15 years later he returns with his young family just before a woman is found dead on a beach. The investigation reopens old wounds and exposes secrets of the townspeople.
